Some we face while developing, and some are inborn illnesses. The ones we face while developing are mostly curable or easy to identify. While the inborn ones are sometimes challenging to locate and have fewer chances to get a cure. One of the inborn medical conditions we often hear about is Autism.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Below is the information about what Autism is and if it is curable or not.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Autism:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Autism or medically known as ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) is one of the inborn illnesses. Symptoms of Autism usually started to get visible by the age of 2 to 3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAccording to the Centers for Disease Control, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autismspeaks.org\/autism-statistics\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">autism affects an estimated 1 in 54 children<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in the United States today.\u201d (Source:<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autismspeaks.org\/what-autism\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">https:\/\/www.autismspeaks.org\/what-autism<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While four times more boys (1 in 37) are affected by autism than girls (1 in 151).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are three types of people with autism based on the kind of autism they are affected by are listed below<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Who needs constant help and care<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Who requires just a little guidance<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Who are okay doing everything independently<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Types:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Till now, Consultants and experts used to discuss different types of autism disorders, But now all of the types have been merged and are known as ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Below are types of autism used before ASD was formed.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Asperger\u2019s Syndrome: <\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 16px\">Also known as Aspergers \u2018s disorder or Asperger \u2018s<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pervasive developmental disorder:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(Not otherwise specified), also known as PDD (NOS) or atypical autism.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Autistic Disorder:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Also known as Autism, childhood autism, early infantile autism or Kanner&#8217;s syndrome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These three disorder \u2018s share many of the same symptoms but they differ in their severity and impact<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Symptoms:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are always symptoms to identify any illness or disease.
